Harpreet Bawa – Senior Associate

Harpreet Bawa is a senior associate at our firm. He is experienced in complex property and parenting matters and can best represent our clients in messy separations.

He has appeared before the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia for a range of matters and is well known in the family law industry among registrars, magistrates, counsel, and colleagues. His personal nature and connections greatly help his clients settle and achieve their desired outcomes.

Harpreet has a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Commerce (accounting). Prior to admission as a solicitor, Harpreet was an Accountant, explaining his eye for detail and competence with numbers, an extremely useful skill when it comes to complicated financial splits. His experience has led him to achieve extraordinary outcomes for clients in recovery and relocation orders, no contact orders, consent orders and matters involving domestic or child abuse.

For many matters between ex-spouses where parties hold bitter resentments towards each other, Harpreet has managed to achieve settlement through negotiations. Alternatively, if the matter must proceed to Court proceedings, Harpreet is able to carry his client diligently through.

Harpreet is a father of one son and in his spare time, he likes to be with his family, watch cricket, basketball, and soccer.

He practices Family Law because he understands the sensitivity of family and how important it is, as a father and husband himself. This empathy helps him understand the stress and emotions of his clients during family breakdowns. Clients undergoing emotional, abusive, or complicated separations are in the good care of our senior associate Harpreet.
