Before becoming a solicitor, Monique worked as a Judge’s Associate in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia, giving her a unique perspective on how family law disputes are managed, assessed and determined by the Court. Having spent years observing proceedings from inside the courtroom, she developed a deep understanding of the family law system and the practical realities that influence outcomes for families.

Professional Background

Monique was admitted as a solicitor in 2018 after completing a Bachelor of Laws (Honours) and Bachelor of Arts (Criminology) at Macquarie University.

Prior to practising as a solicitor, she worked as a Judge’s Associate in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia. In that role, she worked closely with the Court on a daily basis, assisting in the management of court proceedings and observing a wide range of family law matters from commencement through to judgment.

This experience provided valuable insight into how family law disputes progress through the court system, how evidence is assessed and the practical considerations that arise during litigation.

Since entering private practice, Monique has continued to focus on family law and regularly assists clients in parenting and property matters ranging from negotiated settlements through to contested court proceedings.
